We release the double CD Café De Los Maestros - the historic, once-in-a-lifetime summit meeting of the legendary "maestros" of tango, reunited in Buenos Aires by producer-composer Gustavo Santaolalla, on 7th July.

A feature film produced by Walter Salles (Motorcycle Diaries) about Café De Los Maestros (filmed in Buenos Aires in 2006) is being premiered on More 4 on the 8th July.

Biography

Café De Los Maestros is the most ambitious project ever undertaken involving tango repertoire. Winning producer/composer Gustavo Santaolalla (Motorcycle Diaries and Brokeback Mountain) reunites the outstanding tango musicians of the 1940s and '50s in Buenos Aires. Featuring Aníbal Arias, Leopoldo Federico, Oscar Ferrari, Carlos García, Juan Carlos Godoy, Lágrima Ríos, and Horacio Salgán to name a few.
