Dorothy Masuka
For the very first time - the Definitive collection of one of the most
talented and yet underrated African artists.
Dorothy and Miriam Makeba, who were best friends then and are still now,
toured Southern Africa together, and competed on the charts with one hit
song after another. Dorothy has had an interesting life, … had history been
kinder to Dorothy, she probably would have achieved comparable international fame
to Miriam since her singing style, song writing gifts, and political activism are comparable.
She wrote many of Miriam’s hits including Pata Pata which is featured here.
