Both Grammy Award Winners, Pablo Milanes and Chucho Valdes are two of the most important figures not only in Cuban Music but in World Music. Milanes's lyrics and Valdes's music are an integral part of Latin American culture. Chucho has played in more than 50 countries and has participated in more than 52 records. Milanes gained renown for his highly poetic lyrics becoming one of the most popular and respected Cuban musicians and songwriters of the late 20th century with his status as one of the most important links between traditional and contemporary Cuban music.
