Coeur de Pirate is French-Canadian 'Quebecoise' Beatrice Martin. A pianist since the age of just three years-old, and classically trained, Beatrice turned her hand in 2007 to composing, song-writing and arranging, and created Coeur De Pirate.. She is an accomplished songwriter and this ,her debut album ,has taken the French charts by storm. Her songs are whimiscal, magical and infectious; her appearance is striking as well, her voice engaging. A true star in the making. This album was nominated at the prestigious Juno Awards as Best Francophone Album 2009.
