Vinicius De Moraes Biography

Vinícius de Moraes was one of the most fundamental figures in Brazilian music. He wrote the lyrics for some of Bossa Nova's most important songs, such as "Garota de Ipanema", "Chega de Saudade", "Eu Sei que Vou Te Amar", "Amor em Paz", "Insensatez", "Se Todos Fosse Iguais a Voce" (all of them with Tom Jobim), "Minha Namorada", "Coisa Mais Linda" and "Voce e Eu" (with Carlos Lyra), as well as many samba classics.

As such he is the most revered artists amonst Brazilians musicians, working with the likes of Tom Jobim, Baden Powell and Maria Bethania.
